"The Long Leg" by Edward HopperThe F.A.R.O. project – acronym of Make light Through Tales of COPD (chronic obstructive pulmonary disease) – has the purpose of making light above the experienced of people with COPD and also above thei relatives, collecting their experiences written. The contribuion of who is gonna take part at the project will allow to highlight how the disease influence the daily routine, not only by an economic point of view, but also by a relational and emotional point of view. The fundamental targets of the project are: know the needs of people with COPD, improve the organization of the services dedicated to them, improve the knowledge of this disease with the public opinion. Valeria Gatti

Graduated in Political Economy at the University of Pavia. She is the coordinator of the Master Scientists in the Company of ISTUD, for which she is responsible for organizing the teaching activities and supporting the students in the orientation and research of the internship. Within the Health Care Area, she carries out research projects, also at European level, in the field of health and well-being, with particular interest in chronic diseases. In recent years, in addition to applying narrative research in the field of health care, she has also applied this methodology in work organizations to understand the health of employees.
