Project “Breathing words” officially recognized by the European Congress of the European Respiratory Society

The first Narrative Medicine experience led by ISTUD Foundation with professionals involved in the care of patients with Chronic Obstructive BronchoPneumonia (COBP) “Breathing words: Narrative Medicine for the care of Chronic Obstructive BronchoPneumonia” have been officially recognized by the European Congress of the European Respiratory Society (ERS), that will take place in London from 3rd to 7th September.

The results of the project will be included in the Thematic Poster Session “Abstracts in medical education, the web and the internet”, that will take place on Monday 5th September.

This news demonstrates that it is possible to communicate Narrative Medicine results at international scientific congresses of excellence, even if there’s no equality yet between Narrative Medicine and Evidence-Based Medicine. We remind that World Health Organization, in its proposals, will publish in the series “Health Evidence Network” the report “Narrative Method for Public Health Care”.
